Bards are cool

I've read all of these forums about bards, and I just want to say a few things:
Bards are COOL!!!!
They've harnessed the power of music! Sure, anyone can pick up a sword and whack away at something, but how many people can attack with music?
Harps are cool too.
(By the way, Edward was actually one of my better fighters when I was playing FF4)

The only game I ever liked Bards in was Tactics. The concept's neat, but it usually wasn't pulled off very well.

I love the towns in FFIII that are populated only by people of certain classes, and the Bard village is the best of them. They all sing, you see, and the best song in the whole game, "Noah's Lute," plays every time they do it. So it's always talk talk talk to those old Bards.

lol...I agree that I like the town filled with bards...and I think they share the town with geomancers or something...lol but yeah I like the idea of a bard very much, but in practice they are useless! But I have made bards way better than Edward, and they didn't have that annoying as hell hide ability.

Yeah, Bards are a much cooler class on paper then in practise, but I seem to remember them not being so bad in FF5... Too bad we'll probably never see another one. Nikki in CC came close, but not quite.... If we see another one ever, it'll probably be a slightly better balanced class.

I'd say that Bards are Weak but I find There Abilitys Pretty Cool it's keeping them alive thats the problerm

Yeah, Bards were quite useful in FFV due to their undead-destroying Requiem spell. That was only useful for precisely two dungeons, but still.
