[Del Murder]

Your voices have been heard, and the size limits for user avatars has been increased from 60 by 60 pixels to 80 by 80 pixels. We encourage you all to make use of the extra size, but changing your avatar will not be mandatory.

This change will be implemented on a trial basis. If after a predetermined amount of time (approx 2 weeks) not enough users have utilized these new limits, or if the staff just doesn't like how it looks, then the size will revert back to what it previously was.

If you need help in resizing your avatar, feel free to contact Shlupquack, Marshall Banana, Momiji, or Tavrobel and they will be able to assist you. Or you can visit the following thread:

Our benevolent site owners have fixed the database issues that were causing the forums to be down. Now that everything is back up, you might have noticed that some user titles, groups and so forth are wonky. Don't worry, as these people post and the server recycles they should all clear themselves up. Patience, grasshopper, patience.

On the downside, when the database was fixed/restored, some account settings like signatures and avatars might have been restored to older versions.

Today (or, a couple days ago, forgive me for having a mourning period!) we bid farewell our beloved Yameneko. After spending 4 or 5 years on the staff of Eyes on Final Fantasy, he has decided that it was time he moved on. We wish him luck in his ongoing pursuits. Yams enjoys softball and fishing, and vacationing in his mountain home with his wife Carla, and his two daughters, Jenny and Christine. (I added that last part because when I worked at longs that was for some reason at the end of every email notifying us of some exec leaving)

As you may know, we have been experiencing technical difficulties with Premium Membership. There is a limit as to what the Eyes on Final Fantasy moderation staff can do to to fix these problems. We have done our best to notify the site owners of the issues, and hopefully they will resolve them soon.

We apologize to all those who have purchased a membership and cannot enjoy all of the features advertised. We recommend that those considering purchasing premium membership keep this issues in mind when making their decision.

Whilst I'm sure you're all aware of the new forum features, there are other smaller more recent additions too such as albums for everyone now, more user options in your control panels, and extra profile fields to fill in for various game networks, and for sites like last.fm and youtube if you have accounts on those places too

In order for us, your omnipotent staff, to bring you the latest in cutting-edge forum technology, it's my enthusiastic solemn duty to report that we must remove the user note system to make way for additional features in the vb upgrade. We will be removing the user note feature in a week, so please save any user notes you have that you want to love and cherish forever.

Some of you have already discovered the new social group option in the vB upgrade. Some of you have even created some. As of right now users will no longer be able to create social groups without staff approval. Some if not all of the current groups may be deleted.

If you wish to make a social group please make a request in the Private Feedback Forum. Please state the name and purpose of your group and we will consider it.

Many of you may have noticed issues with the forums that have suddenly arose. Many of these issues were caused by a VB upgrade. Please don't panic as these problems are systematically fixed but please do list anything you notice wrong in this thread.

Well, after some confusion, we'd like to welcome Austin to the admin team. He his here on behalf of site owners Warren and Michael to fix some of the problems we've been having with the message board. Some of them have already been fixed (like attachments).

We still encourage you guys to post things you find in the Feedback or Private Feedback forums so that we can bring them to the owners' attention. Thanks!

Just so we don't get a thousand threads asking: Yes PMs and uploading to the server are not working momentarily. We're working on the problem and hopefully should have it resolved soon. Meanwhile if you must, keep all discussion pertaining to this issue here. If you start to experience error codes outside PMs, like when posting, this is normal within the context of the problem and should also get fixed alongside PMs.

Please don't flood us with (and you can't anyway) PMs or IMs asking. Keep it in the thread I mentioned. Thank you.

Due to intense feedback in our staff evaluations we have removed the 66x66 setting which was set up by some renegade staff member(s) and set it back to 60x60. Thanks for your input, folks, and we'll keep reading evaluations over and making effective decisions roughly if at all based on your feedback.

Some people think the Administration at EOFF (or even EoFF if you're picky) are the greatest things on Earth. I can't think of anyone specific, but they do. Some people think we're absolutely horrible, but they're terrified to tell us because they're afraid of the *smite*. Others have no problem telling us exactly what they think. Especially Raistlin, but nobody listens to him anyway. We've brought back the Staff Feedback Form so you can tell us exactly how you feel about the forum, and each one of us individually. It's an anonymous survey so there's no need to worry. Just follow the link at the bottom of this thread, fill it out, and send it in. You don't have to answer every question, but we really hope you do. We're also hoping most of you take this seriously, so please do.

Next, we'll be working on allow us to contribute user content to the front page, so that you can contribute your stuff for the world to see!
