I was now watching FFXIII E3 2009 Trailer.
Is it me or the map in the beggining is exactly the one appearing on the moon at the end of FFVIII?

From the XIII video (at the beginning), you see the small ship approaching the planet (Earth planet?).

From the VIII video (at the end), you see Balamb Garden approaching the Moon.

From the XIII video (at the beginning), your camera moves upside to the planet when the small ship approaches.

From the VIII video (at the end), your camera moves upside to the Moon when Balamb Garden approaches.

Not just that but the maps we see on both planets(Griever like map) are the same.This is the main point of the thread.

Could you link the FFVIII section you're referring to? Hard to compare with just one vid. Not quite sure exactly which part of FFVIII you're saying it's similar to.
