| Administrator  | A long time ago when I was leveling a job (probably NIN I think) I came across that monster and decided to try and take it. Ended in my death. So I changed to PLD and went back out and slaughtered it and got the cape. I think that was the first NM I ever killed that wasn't related to a storyline. |

 | Not sure if this counts as accomplishment but since I posted my departure as such the return should be the same.  Haven't exactly had much time to do anything accomplished yet and still waiting until my wife reactivates soon before anything will really happen, but here's something at least.  Yay new jobs and the fact that the flag quests weren't ridiculously difficult like they were (relatively) for ToAU. Honestly, they were probably the easiest in the game to my recollection. Dancer is a lot of running around and hell, if you're prepared (bought your Vellum ahead of time) for Scholar, you can do it in a single short visit. You might as well just talk to a gate guard and ask to be allowed to be one. Also... Finally. How long were people asking for this? Very nice. And it seems that Dancer gets sneak/invisga... very nice. Now where are my BRD's sneak/invisga songs? BTW... funny story about doing the Dancer quest. I was almost completely brought to humiliating grief by an EP ladybug. No... seriously. I was half naked without macros and had NIN sub. Was a very close call (down to 50 HP at one point). I've since made a few macros. Problem was, my wife raided my closet after I quit and my character is a complete mess with random assortments of gear ranging from 10-75 and lots of crafting mats. Have to wait to reactivate all of my mules before I can get it sorted out. As a side story... This is Hobufopu:  Made this guy on a free buddy pass for kicks while I waited for the 1st to role around (because SE is still retarded about billing). If you want to come back and are wondering how much friendlier things are, this guy can tell you about it. In this pic he's less than week old. Seriously... gimptastic gear. I used a level 9 sword until around 24. I soloed my final subjob item at 25. Back in the day, despite all of my white/blue box obsession, leveling even in your low teens solo was impossible for any reasonable XP. This guy hit nearly 30 in less than a week, and had time to level his gimp subjob to 6 (for poisona). He also got Rank 2 and did a few quests to get some pimpin' (read lame) gear. He did end up with a Traveler's Mantle 1/1 from an oddly completely uncamped Spook. Anyway, the goal from now is to level primarily duo with my wife, avoid most endgame save for maybe Dynamis or Limbus and simply level up all jobs to 60 and get all AFs. Gonna be pretty casual we hope. Probably will never happen, but we have a good plan and I figure with the kind of money we have and the kind of gear we have leveling will be much faster and easier than it was for Hobufopu. EDIT: Crap... I broke the tables... please don't lynch me. |
