| | Its definately an amazing game. Before playing this I never had a lot of experience playing RPGs. When I went into the store, I was actually looking for a theme park game, but when I couldn't find one, I thought to myself "I can't leave a games store without buying a game, it defies Yevon (just kidding)!" So I had a look at the charts, FFX was very high up, so I decided to buy that. I'm glad I did. Its not only a fantastic game, but its what got me into RPGs. Squaresoft, I thank you. |

| Banned | Rating Description out of 10 click here for ratings guide 9.0 Presentation First-rate text localization and a surprisingly strong English dub, plus the typically top-class Final Fantasy production values everywhere else. 9.5 Graphics What Final Fantasy has always done well, this does much, much better. Only bits of the body language can't quite keep up, and that's almost lost amid the rest of the spectacle. 9.4 Sound The new-school soundtrack is going to ruffle some feathers, but it works with the rest of the package, and as mentioned before, the voices ain't bad a-tall. 9.6 Gameplay A leap ahead of any recent FF in gameplay terms. The combat system is now blazing fast and far more versatile. The Sphere Grid is a major break with the past, but one that does work well. 9.5 Lasting Appeal Come for the 40-hour quest, stay for goodness knows how many ages of side quests and Easter eggs. 9.5 Incredible OVERALL http://ps2.ign.com/articles/164/164008p1.html |
