| this mini game is very frustrating. i waited until i got the airship and 30 purifying salts (you can get these from capturing monsters) to avoid any encounters. You should stay away from the towers. In additon, to help a bit, every time you dodge 5 bolts in a row you should pause it so you wont go nuts. its well worth it though- as frustrating as it is

| Elephant Man: Once you have over 200 dodges, and you get hit while you are running back to claim the price, then the whole thing resets and you will have to do it all over again.... just kidding. Once you have over 200 then you will get the price no matter what. By the way, I found that muting the sound definitely helps out a lot, since the sound of thunder from elsewhere will interfere with your concentration, and the music got annoying after a while. ![]()

| I found a way to get strikes consistently without fail. It's in a 3 strike zone just ahead of the inn. Right below the 3 craters on the left side is a little ridge. If you go over it (towards the craters) and back over the crest (towards the inn), you will get a strike on the way back. When you go back towards the craters you will get another strike. Then you have to go forward, back, forward, and then on the way back you will get a strike, and then the way forward you get a strike. This continues in a cycle. Try it, you will catch on, and it is very predictable. I haven't got to 200 yet, but I just started. Check the pic for the area where the ridge is. ![]()
