I just rely on limit breaks (especially Squall's and Selphie's). Have Squall attack him over and over and have Selphie use full-cure to keep up the parties levels.

I got seriously lucky the first time I fought him. I used
Selphie's limit and she decided to cast 4 ultimas.

Ahh, why bother with strategies? I just fought him when I first got the lamp and here's what I did:

-Cast 'Aura' on Selphie.
-Use 'The End'.
-Win battle.

Simple as that, if you don't want to 'cheat' as some would say, then just use blind on him, easy!

The End can take ages to occur, unless you take the precaution of opening the disc tray to prevent Diablos' magic from being loaded off the CD. For relatively simple battles, a properly-junctioned party can dismiss most foes quite a lot quicker.

Like duh. i killed him with whatever i used. GF's, spells, Limits.... i just attack a lot and kill him quick. for some reason, demi never worked for me, so i just triple haste and smash him with squall's Lionheart!!!!

i think you will find that if you keep drawing demi and casting it, diabolas will cast curaga on you!! Like some people have said, blind him, draw demi, get cured and then batter the crap out him by phisical attacks.

Dont worry, try, try and try again!

The fight with Diablos is easy if you know what you're doing. Whenever you cast Demi on him, he'll counter by casting Curaga on you. Mind you, you have to cast Demi from your magic stock in order for this to work.

wtf is everyone talking about? why on earth do you need a strategy for diablos? Like some people said; the higher your level, the higher his level. and therefore the easiest way to beat it is asap. only one out of 4 attacks or so is physical (and therefore deadly) and the other 3 are demis. in my opinion, diablos was one of the easiest gfs to beat.
