I don't really agree. There's a lot of mish-mash from future cut-scenes that is irrelevant at that point

its easily the best FF intro
possibly the best for any game ever
anyone else notice usualy the evn numbered games have good intros and the odd numbers are ...welll.....less good?

Maybe they got the idea from the Star Trek movies. Although honestly I can't say FFII was one of the all time greats. Conversely, FFVII had one of the best pull-backs ever.

I found it very enjoyable and epic in scope, especially with the music. I agree it makes more sense if you've played the game before. But I always thought that Squall is somehow experiencing these flash-forwards, so the confusion may be intentional.

As much as I like seeing pretty-boys get their faces messed up by sharp objects, I'm not a fan of "Liberi Fatali" or FFVIII music in general. My all-time favorite opening comes from Wild ARMs 2 -- give me some lively guitar licks and brass over some soulless choirs anyday.

ff6 also had a realy good intro the music was awsome in that
possible better than 8s
