The fight between Squall and Seifer at the start.

An eye for an eye is all that counts, - after Seifer hit Squall, Squall slashed him in revenge
Either way it's there for good, - each one got a permament reminder of the duel.
In this case there is a twin, - two similar scars
But he is the opposite of what you may think - the scars are facing opposite directions
A burning sensation accompanies the exchange,
Fade to black is all that is left

I'm not as familiar with VIII as I am with X, (I never ended up finishing it) but I'll give it a shot!

We used to be comrades
Now we're your rivals renewed!
We're not very lucky
Nor are we shrewd!
But when you see us next
Discern us, for you'd
Be best to engage us
Our offense is now good!

That was the closest I could get my last line to rhyme.
