Some ppl are saying you can get Edea in your party, which should be around Disc 3 after you've visited the white SeeD ship, and on your way to Fisherman's Horizon. Only problem is, I can't seem to get her!!

It's because you can't. If it's not published in any extensive guide, good rule of thumb is that it's not true or it would be public knowledge by now.
