Spoiler: That's never going to happen.
You're right, unfortunately. It's not.

Of course, given that I hated Cloud in the PS3 FFVII Tech Demo, I'm quite happy that they aren't releasing an "improved" version for the PS3.

Anyway, on to Crisis Core. I got it for my birthday, and, it's fun. It's not as good as the original FFVII was, but it's not a bad game, with one exception: Genesis. He's a badly written, poorly designed character. Not only does he ruin the continuity of the previous games (as Wolf has already explained in great detail), but he isn't even a good character.

All the other characters are wonderful. Zack, Aerith, Angeal, Lazard, Tseng, Sephiroth, Cissnei... I like them all. The voice acting is beautiful, and the writing is superb. Until we get to Genesis. Then they give us a character who is wholly unlikeable and uninspiring. He evokes no emotion save boredom, and his poetry and ridiculous dress sense add nothing to either the game or his character.

To be honest, his entire "I'm jealous of Sephy and the attention he gets" is a central part of his character, and it does offer a reasonable explanation for why he dresses like a twit and seems like a Sephiroth rip-off, but that doesn't make it good character design.

It's a shame, because he is easily the largest flaw this game has. The designers junked continuity and their chance for a good story in exchange for a pathetic new villain.

I just got it, it is AWESOME!!!!!!

The entire thing runs like an FMV, graphics rock, so does the soundtrack.

And combat system is GREAT

I liked it a lot more than FFXII Revenant Wings.

Of course the fact I never played FFVII (watched AC though) helped me be oblivious to continuity errors

What is the point of the second page of the DMW menu? I mean, I understand the percentages keeping track of the scenes you've seen, but why in hell are they recording the ratio of Limit Breaks to Limit Verges? It's not like you have any control over that at all. It's recording how nice the game's random generator is being to you, and seems to have no purpose except to piss me off (by making me reset each time I get a Limit Verge without getting a Limit Break).

You should so play it, it's not even that long of a game and even though you get so many people saying it's over-rated, it's still a nice game to play through.

I second this notion though play the earlier ones while you're at it Rem

The second page doesn't make sense to me either Skyblade. Course, the DMV is overrated, its all about spamming the Dodge Roll!

if anyone wants to know a neat trick.. if you stay near the edges of a mission level, you never have to fight until the boss creature
