#1 Yay! I'm the first one to post in this forum. ^_^ I was checking news around various online sites, and these things have been recently announced about Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. - It won't be released this year. It seems Square Enix is planning a worldwide release in Spring 2005, and translating the movie into many languages takes some extra time. - There was a 25-minute-long preview of FF7AC in Venice Screening. Supposedly the movie is 4 times longer than that, so we could be expecting a movie that is longer than an hour and a half. So this won't be just a 60-70 minute mini-story. ![]() Spoiler: - Some characters in the movie call the white-caped man in the wheel chair "Mr. President", and he speaks about Sephiroth in third person. It hasn't been confirmed whether he's Rufus or not, though. - Aeris, Sephiroth and Zack will all appear in flashbacks, though maybe more. - There is going to be a huge battle where Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Red XIII, Cid, Yuffie and Vincent all join forces to fight the bad guys. In the preview in Venice Screening, One-Winged Angel was playing during this scene, and according to those who saw it, that's a truly fantastic moment in the movie. - Bahamut is going to appear in FF7AC. - Cloud has Geostigma. It's still not certain what Geostigma is, but it's supposedly the Planet's counter for Jenova cells mixing into the body, and Lifestream probably has something to do with it. Geostigma will kill its victim, and as far as we know, there's no cure. - FF7 fans will have some very emotional nostalgic moments during the film. - This movie is going to be awesome. ![]() Okay, that's about it. I got most of the information from Advent Children's website, although I used other online sources as well. What do you guys think about all these new pieces of information? Is this movie beginning to sound impressive? Discuss. Last edited by Sephiroth1999AD; 09-13-2004 at 12:23 AM. |

| Former Staff | Yep, I read about all that a couple days ago. it's got me more excited (if that's possible) for this movie, but....I'm worried that there's going to be minimal story, and many, many, many fight scenes. Don't get me wrong, I like the action, but when that's all that there is, it gets boring---and the story is what I'm really loking forward to. *crosses fingers* ![]() |

| Recognized Member | chaos: Wow, that's quite a truckload of information. I never read 1up's review for FFVII AC, 'cause I wanted to experience it myself, spoiler free. It sounds like a great movie though. Rubedo: I like the designs and everything. chaos: Especially Tifa's look. Albedo: *Laughs maniacally* As long as Sephiroth is in it, I am fine. Trowa: I was looking forward to having every single character play a role there. |

| | For once I actually mind a plot being spoiled; thus, I refuse to read the spoilers. I cannot wait 'til it comes out, though. I'm having a huge screening of the movie at my house, the day it comes out. God, I have to wait another 6 or so months for it... Oh well, I know it'll be WELL worth the wait. |

| Former Staff | I doubt they'd release in theaters. I'm kind of hoping they won't too. I LIKED The Spirits Within, but look how well that one turned out? I don't think they'd take the same risk twice. Plus, only us, and other people who've played the game would know what's going on. They are releasing on that psp thing, though too, I think. ![]() |
