If it didn't work, check you have a recent version of Snes9x or ZSNES, both will patch on the fly if the patch has the same filename before the file extension as the ROM

And oh look, I have the Japanese FF6 ROM on my HD too

(And CT and FF5, but not FF4 for some reason).

And I personally don't like Sky Render's translation of FF6
