#1 In the forum people say Kefka destroys the world. Is that when the World of Ruin comes or at the end he blows up the world into pieces? |

| | It's not so much he destroys the world, but rather the statues of the three goddesses. If you remember Spoiler: the caves on Crescent Island when tracking the Espers, Strago explains that if the statues ever left their alignment, it would reshape the face of the planet. And, of course, Kefka goes crazy and starts moving the statues, which Shadow tries in vain to fix. That should answer your question. |

| Former Staff | Kefka didn't destroy the world per se, but he did have a go at destroying all life. He'd probably succeeded, given time, if our heroes hadn't stopped him. The World of Ruin wasn't especially nice, but life endured, and would subesquently have begun to return in force. Things would never be the same again, but at least life - and hope - weren't completely extinguished. |
