I'd have to be boring and let them down normally, no beating around the bush about it. Better to tell them there and then rather than waste time and make them madder in the long run. I would probably use one of the carrier pidgeons to message a letter to them, so that I'm well out of harm's way by the time they read it. Besides, I'm sure Gogo wouldn't care too much about the whole thing in the least.
