#1 You know the sword Ultima Weapon (not the boss), what does it mean when it says, it binds with the HP of the user? When I equip it on, for example, Terra, her attack shoots up by like 100, but in battle I see no difference. Something to do with her HP? She has 1047hp by the way. |

| Site Staff Cid's Knight | The more hit points the equipper has, the the more damage it does. It becomes very apparent in the later half of the game when the equipper has several thousand hit points. If their hit points are drastically reduced, say 2000 from 6000, you'll see a definite decrease in the damage output with the Ultima Weapon. |

| | The whole HP calculation is misleading for Ultima Weapon. It's assumed that the weapon does damage based on the total maximum HP you have, when infact this is not the case. Rather the weapon increases it's base damage based on the character's level, while their current HP vs. max HP affects the total damage multiplier. Simply put, at maximum health you will have an added damage multiplier equivalent to 1/64th your level (e.g level 32 = +50% damage), with a loss in health producing a linear decline in damage. It also has the unique ability to bypass Petrify's immunity to damage property, as the final damage always has +1 added to it. The animation is also based purely on the damage you do with the weapon. It's also worth noting that Ultima Weapon is defense ignoring, ignores row, and it's special damage property is over-ridden by the Mug skill. |
