Does the Sneak Ring increase Capture %

Here's a quick question I've never figured out to satisfaction. Does the sneak ring increase the success of Capture when used with the Thief Glove? Or does it only increase the success of steal without the Thief Glove? I wasn't able to get an answer in forum search.

The Sneak Ring increases whatever action is available in the sense. Capture/Mug with the Thief/Brigand Glove, or Steal with nothing.
