You should definitely play it. It think it might take a while for you to warm up to the graphics, but you'll soon see that they're actually quite charming. Other than that, the gameplay at its core is still very Final Fantasy and you'll probably enjoy it.

in my opinion it's the best FF and the graphics were as good as was possible on a console at the time, so you shouldn't be disappointed that they don't live up to ff7 etc.

It's a great game. There's like 12 characters and it has one of the coolest villains ever. I'm sure you will enjoy it. The Anthology version has some bad load times, though.

FFVI Is Pretty Much The Definitive Final Fantasy Game, So It's Worth The Outdated Graphics. The Story And Gameplay At Least As Good As The Newer Ones In The Series.

Final Fantasy VI is the best game ever made, and as an added bonus for you, the default names are in all caps.

Well this is one of the best FF's, so yeah, i'd recommend it. the people who went on to make the FF's you played got their chance to shine here and they came up with a really great game. The loading times on PSX versions aren't as bad as everyone says, if you played the other Final Fantasys for playstation it's just about the same as those to bring up the menu/go into battle....
