LOL the old fashioned way. Level grinding then take them on

Atma Weapon and Genji Glove on Edgar. Haste him, Shell the Party. Keep Health up, have Sabin use Meator Strike or Pummel.

Intangirs aren't that great. I crunched the math in another thread.

There's a forest that gives you 2-3mp a battle plus experience and money. It is on the Empire's continent where the chocobo stable is hidden in the forest right next to a town (sorry I can't recall the town name or I'd give it).
