The best place to gain ABP is the final dungeon area. You get about 30 ABP per battle for enemies (45 with ABP Up) and Movers give 199 ABP (298 with ABP Up). Also, don't start trying to master the jobs until you get ABP Up. You can't get the Oracle class until you beat the game, though.

Actually, you can. Three of the four new jobs are available as soon as you've acquired the 12 legendary weapons.

Right. I'm thinking of the dungeon you find them in.
