#17 I like "Freelancer" better than "Bare", but anyway... As to the original topic, I don't know if it works on the other versions, but on the PS2 Anthology version equipping two swords and using Flare Sword! Magic on turn one followed by SShot! on subsequent turns = a load of hurt. You'll make eight hits each turn for damage depending on your level, I guess, up to several thousand damage each hit. That strategy slaughtered Shinryu as well in my game. Tossing Magic Shurikens (four or five you can find in the N-Zone or buy some in Mirage IIRC--though I'm not sure whether they are better than CoinToss in terms of damage per $) can come close to doing max one-hit damage. And as others have mentioned Bahamut is useful, especially for Neo X-Death. |

| | I don't really think long range is all that useful. The attacks that really hurt aren't physical anyway, are they? Instead you could put in time magic and use Quick. I just grinded all my jobs to master though. it doesn't take a lot of time if you fast forward with an emulator in the final dungeon. Even without fast forwarding it shouldn't take too long. I just love having all those passive abilities active. Extra speed from thief, extra evade from samurai, and they can all use ribbons. |

| | Well I beat him the other night, and it was the most instense battle I've ever had playing FF, even more so that Zeromus. I had two Bare, one with Sshot & Throw (Bartz) the other Two-handed & White (Faris), one White Mage with Summon (Reina) and a Mime with Black (Krile). The only time I had any serious trouble was when one of the parts started spaming Meteo, other than that it weren't to tough but lasted about twenty minutes. |
