Spell Levels

How do i know what level a magic spell is? Is there any way to view what magic level is required to cast each spell?

If you view your spells in the status menu, each row of spells is one spell level. So the spells on row 3 are level 3 spells (if I remember correctly).

and just in case you dont know. a black mage, white mage, summoner E.C.T. can cast all of the spells of their field of magic even if their at level 1. but once you change class and equip the magic abiliy, you can only cast the ones below your spell level and the ones on your current level.

and a red mage can naturally cast only spells level 1-3, but you can equip higher level skills for a specific magic. similarly if you equip X-magic on a character they can cast two of any spells (besides summons I think) they can normally cast.

In addition, when you go to the Magic menu and look at the spells, if the spells are greyed out in a darker shade for that character, it means that the character can't cast those spells with his/her current class and equipped abilities.
