what? where did you hear this? it could be something to do with the anthologies version. on FF5 anthologies (the european anthology.) the main character doesnt have a name (but i call him bartz anyway.) are you sure that isnt just someone deciding to call bartz jason?

This walkthrough refers to Bartz as Jason. I'm not sure if he just changed Bartz name to Jason. There's no mention of the name Butz or Bartz in that walkthrough.

I just realized...it doesn't really matter what you name the main character as. FFV was not all that great to me.
