I guess lots of you feel the same thing I do while playing this nice game; too bad it's impossible to know for sure if we share that feeling.

I always thought lots of the entertainment was in the Jobs, and all the great effects you could get from combining them with various Abilities.
I think you agree with me on that one, but there's another reason I liked this game as well:

The "goodies".

I always loved all this special equipment and whatnot, the feeling of entering the Fork Tower in order to unseal Holy and Flare was great; kinda like "yay, soon we're ultimate!".
The same goes for the 12 Legendary Weapons; it's a very great feeling getting the lithographs one by one, and successively unseal the great weapons.

The Job System, the challenge (ie only original classic FF game with super bosses), the wonderful battle sprites and the side quests are probably the main reasons why people would play this game and enjoy it.

Because it's fun. And I guess the job system would be the second reason even though I only use 2 or 3 different jobs per character

Final Fantasy 5 was the first FF I ever played and it's stuck with me since. The job system was Indepth and interesting whilst the characters each played out their part perfectly. The massive world with all it's secrets to unlock were the icing on the cake. And what great icing!
