i reckon its a glitch but it might be intentional. if shiva or golem ranadomly turn up that proves its deliberate and meant to give you all missable summon monsters but i think its a glitch(did you get the summon when you beat him because if you didnt that might mean its just a random encounter.)

It's probably not a glitch in the game since it happens in all versions. More likely it's just an incorrectly set probability level for Ramuh or something.

Yep, I was able to use him afterwards, as if I had beaten him in the forest originally. He even gave the whole 'you have Ifrit?' speech...

Just Hydra and one more of the earlier ones (the one that casts petrify).

I doubt Hydra will show up, but the other was some form of encounter if I remember correctly so...

I doubt any other summons will show up . . . When I played my copy of the Anthology game, I missed most of the summons levels 1-3. I never used summoners, so it wasn't a problem, but none of them showed up as random encounters in the Cleft of Dimensions . . . you'd think that I would have seen at least one if the game meant you to be able to encounter them.
