Oh come on. I've ran from maybe 10 battles ever in a Final Fantasy game. (exceptions: FFI, and trying to get something from that old man in FFVII)

Brave Blade, every single time. I hate running away, unless it's a nigh on impossible emeny like the Skull Eaters in Jahlol Cave in World 1. >.< I hate those things.

When I got the braveblade, it was at 131 damage per hand. So holding it two hands gave me 262, which is even stronger Excalibur.

Chicken Knife kicks ass if you power it up by running a lot. Then give it to a dancer, who should be wearing Red Shoes (raises the rate of using Sword Dance). If you use Dance instead of Fight, then the Chicken Knife will never make your party flee.

I just master Dancer and have someone (usually Lenna) just do sword dance with whatever weapon she happens to have like perhaps the Masamune which does 9999 anyway without needed to use the chicken knife.

of yea, I take the brave blade, especially since as I have pointed out elsewhere, !giltoss is much faster and generally more effective than running.
