| Senior Site Staff Administrator | The characters have the same growth rates regardless of job class from what I understand; rather, leveling Lenna from Level 5 - 99 as a Black Mage is no different from leveling Lenna from Level 5 - 99 as a Knight and switching to Black Mage. |

| | Mastering a job gives the Freelancer it's stat boost. For example, your Freelancer has 1500 HP and 30 strength and you master Monk which has 3000 HP and 50 strength. Your Freelancer will now have 3000 HP and 50 strength. You also gain the job's inherient ability, so once you've mastered say, Ninja, your Freelancer won't need to equip the Duel-Wield ability because he or she will already have it. So once you've mastered all jobs you won't need to give waste a Freelancer's ability slots with things like Counter/Duel-Wield/Magic Shell/Find Passages/Sprint etc. |

| | Well, if you're really into using Mime against bosses mastering Monk and Mystic Knight will probably bite you in the back since you'll end up mimicking physical attacks and shell casts at times instead of Bahamut/Gil Toss/Doomsday/whatever powerful attack you're trying to mimic (I learned this the hard way in FFV Advance). |
