#1  Making Quina B.A. Everyone talks about it, but no one really ever mentions how (unless I missed that topic)... ...but how do you go about maxing Quina's bad ass factor out? Run around eating everything? Looking for specific items? I've heard Quina's Mighty Guard, Limit Globe, Frog Drop, Bad Breath, Angel Snack, L5 Death, and Auto-Life are awesome, but what do I eat or equip to get those? | Cid's Knight  |  Where to learn them: The RPG Place - Final Fantasy IX - Abilities - Blue Magic Guide. Basically, Eat, eat, and eat some more! Mighty Guard puts Protect and Shell on the entire party. It's useful, but takes a great deal of MP. Limit Glove does 9999 damage if Quina's HP is 1, making it useful in low level games. Frog Drop causes fixed damage (no matter the stats of the enemy): amount of frogs caught in Qu's Marshes multiplied by Quina's level. If, for example, Quina is level 50 and you've caught 200 frogs, it will do 9999 damage. Bad Breath causes a good deal of bad statuses on the enemy. I don't use it very often. Angel Snack is useful in certain boss fights but a bit wasteful in most other cases; it uses up 4 remedies at once, one being used on each character in your party, curing most status ailments. L5 Death is particularly useful when going after Grand Dragons, the single most effective enemy to hunt for gaining levels; it kills them at once, with no exceptions. Auto-Life does what it says, grants the targeted character a one-time automatic revival the next time they're knocked out in the current battle. |
