Cave by Kaiko (FFIV)

I went into this cave by the City of Kaiko and inside was an old man blocking my path telling me to go back to Kaiko because of the strong monsters inside. Where do I go from here?

It's Kaipo.

You need to go back to Kaipo, and go to the building in the upper right had corner of town. There you'll find Rosa, who has desert sickness and needs the Sand Ruby to cure her, return to the cave and the old man (Tellah) will let you through.
