in ff4 can i get the call slyphs?

u know how if u see yangs wife and she gives u the pan so u can wake up yang, i didn't do that and now i want to just for the summon but when i see his wife she says "tell him not to worry bout' me" (i think). i am up to the part where i have to travel to the moon (after the giant of babil) - is it too late?

Yep, it's too late. Once Yang is awake on his own (Giant of Babil attack scenario), you cant smack him. Which sucks, you missed out on the spoon too, which is the best thing in the game to throw, I believe.

You should still be able to get it by going to talk to them. I've gotten the Sylph spell but not the Spoon Dagger on my last playthrough.
