#1  FFIV Fanfiction Thread Final Fantasy IV: And All That Could Have Been Kain finally made his decision. After months of it tugging in the back of his mind, it took but a fraction of a second for him to decide that yes, he had fallen deeply in love... with Cid. Watching that strapping, hairy body working on the airship, the beads of sweat glistening in the midday sun like the condensation on a particularly chilled glass of lemonade, it touched Kain in a part of the body that had not been touched by man before. But he knew, deep in the tortured chasm of fiery angst that was his soul, that this forbidden partnership could never happen. As was apparent from his sturdy build and dedication to mechanical engineering, pigs would fly before Cid’s wrist would flop. So Kain silently retreated back to his empty room, slumped into bed and slowly cried himself to sleep for the eighth time this week. It was 5pm. Cid lay in his boat-shaped bed that night, fully aware that Kain had been watching him that day. He had hoped that maybe taking off his shirt would entice him to come over and make small talk, but it had not worked. How he wished to see Kain without his bulky armour, to view his virgin body in all its splendour, to watch him grind that spear, to...oops, time to change the sheets. The following day, Kain resumed his usual position near the dockyards, and yet again tried to muster the courage to approach Cid. How he longed to see those rippling muscles up close, to run his fingers through that chest hair – Oh my God, he’s lifting an entire hull door by himself, such power! Kain couldn’t take it any longer. He swallowed (squee!) his pride and strode over to where Cid was working. Cid was taken by surprise by Kain’s unannounced arrival. In his nervousness, he dropped his Sonic Screwdriver. Bending over to fetch it, he noticed Kain’s hand also reach out, and they touched. Time seemed to stop. For this brief moment where their eyes met, there was nothing in the entire world but the two of them, and their boundless love. Kain looked deep into Cid’s eyes, and knew at once that the breakthrough had been made. There was nobody around. Suddenly, all inhibitions were lost. Mouths clamped together, they rolled around the musty earth, tearing at each other’s clothes. For Cid, now was the time. He roughly rolled Kain over, prepared his vessel, and thrust his throbbing - *shot* |
