#33  Well don't I feel conflicted... Should I be angry cause Squeenix seems to be milking the franchise and whoring out my favorite FF games? But it's a remake of FFIV... But it's on the DS instead of a console... You have a DS and did you really want it on the PS3 or 360?...Besides it's a remake of FFIV... But it looks like Yoshida is doing the in game character designs instead of it being based on Amano's sexy art work... But you like Yoshida's work as well... besides it's a remake of FFIV... But it goes against my principles to support Squenix for doing nothing more than milking one of my favorite series... It's a smurfing REMAKE OF FFIV!!! You give a convincing argument...  |

 | I just saw this in one of my morning classes on a friend's laptop. Wow. I remember a thread in General FF not too long ago, about which game you would like to see re-made, and this got my vote. Which is why I'm real glad. At the same time, i can identify with Elpizo, I bought FFIV Advanced less than a year ago, and it's already time for an upgrade. I'm not bitter, I can play IV on my gamecube, and the remake portable. Fair enough. Besides, I think they did a really good job with III on DS, making it something new but at the same time it felt like an NES game. It would be cool if they could recapture the SNES feel with this one. Although I think these DS remakes are going to have a feel of their own in the FF Universe. I'm happy. PS - I know Cecil looks kinda slender in the pictures but that's how he looked in alot of the artwork. |

| | yeah, i think the scans look awesome. Cecil and the backgrounds look incredible. I can't wait for this game. Although I'll have XII: RW & the Tactics remake to tide me over till it comes out. I wish they'd had all these portable systems and awesome games when i was a kid. |

| | that's crazy. but i think this is going on across all forms of media. Movies, for example, the writers are running out of ideas and that's why alot are remakes. i think alot of it has to do with the fact that it takes a little longer to develop a game for a next-gen system, when you have all new tools to work with, and combined with the fact that FFXIII is 3 games, it's alot to worry about. Probably alot of underutilized people at SE that they realized could remake the classics. |
