can someone tell me something

Iv been looking at this game for a while now and i was wondering.
is it going to be like final fantasy 1 like where you can pick their class and such or will it be more like the others and everyone it just something and it stays that way

It's very similar to FFV where you can change the party members' class throughout the course of the game.

On the other hand you don't get to keep/remember any traits or abilities from a job you've already trained in like you do in FFV (except for HP). You are what you are at the moment and nothing else (though gaining experience in one job makes it easier to switch back to that job later on).
