For anyone who isn't that great a FF fan (ie the reviewer presumably) most of those points are pretty much moot. Even though its an upgraded version of a classic game, if it comes up short in comparison to other recent RPGs then it's going to be rated accordingly.

I think FFIII DS is definitely a game for the fans of Final Fantasy. It probably doesn't appeal that much to other gamers. I hope it will turn out enjoyable, though I'm also a bit worried that I'm having too high expectations for the game and that it will disappoint me because of that.

Yeah, but compared to some handheld RPGs (especially the DS ones), it is above average.

6.5 isnt bad, its not in the middle, its a positive score
