I really wish that the awesome graphics of the running chocobos and so on were in-game, but then I am doubtful, because in the talking scenes, they use the regular graphics. Must...be...optimistic...

Don't kid yourself. The DS isn't capable of rendering graphics of the quality seen in that FMV in real time.

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw it. I played a couple DS games here and there and none had cutscenes remotely as gorgeous as these.

this game is gonna rock! the FMV is amazing....almost too amazing....ya never know we could be treated to a psp or ps2 realease rather than the DS.....

Even though the in-game graphics don't reach the quality of the FMV graphics, the graphics are still excellent. The battle graphics remind me a lot about FFIX's graphics. I watched the trailer again, and I think it looked really great. I don't know why I said above that there was a choral version of Elia's theme because I don't think there is. The song played on that trailer is the first song on FFIII DS soundtrack. I have that song, and it only has a live orchestra, no choir.
