Yeah, that's the better Zande picture. I think the Dorga one works best.

And yes, Zande looks nothing like Sigma.

I'm partial to the first one, personally, just 'cause it's a lot lighter than the others. I just think it works better as a logo. I like Zande's the least, but it would be interesting if it was traced instead of just filtered orange.

I guess I'd just like the subject of the logo to be an actual character instead of a hero-type placeholder like in FFI's logo.

Definitely understandable. The FFIV logo strikes me as particularly poignant because of what happens to Kain during the story. Meanwhile FFI's seems to be more "hey, he's got a sword! AWESOME!" which is appropriate for FFI considering your party never even got dialogue, but as the series evolved it began to take on a new face. FFIII was more a return to FFI so perhaps generic hero to illustrate genre isn't such a bad thing, but I really do see where you're coming from.
