I've started playing it a lot lately and have been spending a good many hours each day on it. I had the game for a while (got it this past spring) but hadn't gotten around to playing it much until this past week.

I think it's been awesome and somewhat addictive. I'm liking the job system a lot. I'm quite far into the game now.

When I first played the game, I thought at first that it was going to be really difficult as I found what appeared to be some really powerful monsters in the first areas, and I was killed by them after I started. However, I found that as long as you keep the right/up-to-date equipment on everyone and have them leveled up properly, then the game isn't really that hard at all. You will likely have to spend some time fighting for gil to get the stuff you need, and also to get your levels and job levels up as needed.

Being properly leveled up is especially important as there are no save-points in dungeons; you can only save in the overworld. Also, unlike other games in the Final Fantasy series, Phoenix Downs aren't sold in shops; they can only be found in chests. I didn't really find this to be much of a problem because I haven't died much at all in the game overall (except having some Game Overs when I first started upon facing the powerful foes in a beginning area). You can revive KO'ed allies in towns, though, and you will eventually get reviving magic for job classes that can use white magic of up to that level or above.

Final Fantasy 3 is one of the best FF titles in terms of pure fun and enjoyment. The storyline for me lacked, but the job system MORE than made up for it. You can completely customize your "super team" to whatever you want. I remember the first time I played it I was like "Hells yeah I'm gonna be nothing but Knights!" yeah that didn't work well..but I still had a lot of fun just being able to make the choice. I definitely recommend it if you're new or vet, doesn't matter.
