Now that I think about it I read somewhere on these forums that mp loses are cumulative if thats true it seems almost pointless to use sap when you could level up your spells and mp at the same time.

i dont think its cheating becuase the ability to attack your own characters is available in the other FF's which also proves martyrs point....

No. It's the most intelligent you can do. If you know how to abuse the battle system, you'll find the rewards are generally pleasing
