Why would anyone level up Exit?

This concerns Final Fantasy 2.

Seriously, why are you even able to level up this spell?
The only thing you get from it is higher MP cost, and that's not really that great.

The only thing I could think of would be lower HP loss from using it, though.

Lower HP and a higher chance of instantaneous killing the enemies.

Oh yes. If it works like in Final Fantasy III, which I believe, casting Exit on an enemy can "send them to another dimension" and therefore kill them instantly. Of course, be careful not to ever cast it on your party members in battle because they would get killed as well.
If it works like I believe it does, I mean.

seems as i never use it in battles i dont level it up but if you did the chances of it killing enimies with it would rise.
