Default FFII DoS question

I haven't started FFII DoS yet cause i've been busy with college work, but i've played the original version...

I was at the square-enix website for it and it said that characters stats do not drop in FFII DoS. So I can be a good fighter and mage and master everything with everyone if I wanted, as in when increasing magic, strength won't drop?

Yes, you can, but it will still take you forever to make everyone good at everything, so I don't reccomend it.

i don't intend to, but I can make each person specialize in a spell and weapons

like one swords/thunder, spears/ice, fists/fire, just stuff like that which was near impossible in the original
