Default ff2 evil cane

I was playing origins lately and is it just me or does the evil cane/spellbinder hit the enemy less often then then in the NES version? I remember being able to hit the Thunder Gigas at least once with it back in the NES version, but on origins it either hits no one or hits one of my guys, more often then not it hits the caster.

You mean to tell me that you actually risk having your characters blasted away?

for me it wasn't much of a risk back in the NES version, caus like I said it usually hit the enemy. anyway, the first few rounds, it makes no difference, caus the aero/poison 16 spell only does like 300-400 max to my character. I went into Mysidia Tower with like 2500 HP on everyone but richard who had like 1500. Swap magic is great

In the NES version, it often hit the Emperor with me.
