Is it my PS2 or is it my game?

I was playing FFII and I was just about to get Leon, and I got into a fight I won't to beat, so I soft rested but the game wouldn't come on, so I had to go through Castle Palamecia all over again [i manged to get Leon this time]. This happened twice. It happened in the Mysidian Tower and Castle Palamecia. My Spongebob game also froze one time. Is it the games or is my PS2 is messed up? I got the PS2 on Christmas, when FFX was out.I really need an answer badly.

Try your games out on someone else's PS2 and see if the same things happen. At least you can narrow it down to the cause of the problem that way.

So.....if I try it on someone else's PS2, and that problem doesn't come up, does that mean that there is something wrong with my ps2?

This is my biggest fear: What if it's a glitch, or a glitch that only happens on a PS2? I'm worried.
