HAD FF ORIGIONS ONE DAY AND I'M STUCK!

IN FF2 i am on my way to Fynn (Phin in NES) but I have saved in the "MAP" but everey battle I have are aginst Ogre mages THEY KICK THE SHHH OUT OF ME!!

(I suck I know :P)

Phin is surrounded by rivers and a lake, if I remember correctly. Try to stay as close to the water as you can, because Ogres, Ogre Mages and other enemies like that appear if you wander too far.

Just two general random encounter tips:

ALWAYS go by water in the canoe, as you will not get into any random encounters.

Use the Memo File ability every few steps. It may be tedious, but you won't regret pressing R1+R2+L1+L2+Select+start if there's a battle you don't want to be in. NOTE:Battles will always happen at the same spot after doing this, but usually with different enemies.

Ogres are EASY. Take it from me.

At the starting of the game, I leveled up Until Gus had 2678HP,237MP and lvl.8 axe and shield skill. Firion had 2423HP,264MP and lvl.9 sword and Shield skill. Maria had 2156HP, 283MP and lvl. 7 Bow skill. For spells, they were all at lvl. 5+.
