I wonder why they did for? They must don't appreciate their fans trying to express their love for the series. Actually I think Square should do a remake like that. It would be much different instead of doing remakes like everybody else with updated graphics and battle engines they could dumb it down to older eras. It would be a demake!

It's cute and all, but I don't see why I'd play a fugly version of something pretty.

I would actually like to try that version, LunarWeaver.

If the creators wanted to sell it, then Square would have to stop them from producing it because it would be copyright infringement. If they weren't selling it, I think Square could care less what they did with it.

They were using a ROM of FF2, which isn't strictly legal. Also, they were alterting the ROM, which I'm not entirely sure is legal either. Moreover, some legal loophole will have found them to be violating the copyright on FF10 somehow.

Remember that Chrono Trigger remake?

you'd think if people could actually pull off a ffx NES ROM that would be worth overlooking the copyright issues, especially since it owuld obviously be only for artistic value.

well looking at that youtube video, its possible there may be a rom of this in japanese... someone would have to translate it then. At the very least there may be just a few more scenes done like this one. It was very well done though.
