go to the ice cave, and get the floater, follow the rivers north of the volcano to get there, once you get the floater go to the desert south of the volcano you can see it from the ocean, in fact you can park your boat on the mouth of the river there, and I believe in the DoS version there is a short FMV or whatnot.

and there are only spells up to level 8...

Why is everyone copying me??

I started that color crap!! But for the record. You have to speak to Bahamut and bring him the Rat's Tail. But I also have a question. I once heard that when you get class upgraded that you can also change them. This didn't let me choose...

you can't change them
Fighter/Warrior----> Knight
Thief----> Ninja
Black Belt/Monk----> Master
Red Mage----> Red Wizard
White Mage---->White Wizard
Black Mage----> Black Wizard

that's just how it is...
