Default FFO PAL/NTSC (2 quick Q's)

While reading over the subject of FF Origins, FF1 NES and so on, I stumbled over an article about the PSX conversion in general.

"Final Fantasy Origins was released in Europe on March 13, 2003, and in North America on April 8, 2003. It was translated in England by Square Enix Europe. Final Fantasy Origins was converted from PAL to NTSC in order to come to North America, and a bug in PAL version was fixed in the NTSC version."
Now this makes me wonder what "bug" this article is talking about. Anyone one know of any bug in the Europe version?

Also, my Europe version has the games on separate CDs, while my friend overseas claims his NTSC version has them together on one. Is this true?

So basically, I'll greatly appreciate it if you could clear up those 2 issues.
