In this game, am I wasting my time looking for secret passages, walking up to paintings and pressing X and things of the sort? I do this in most FFs, but so far I haven't found anything here.

I came in here expecting an attractive secret and instead I got tomfoolery! False advertising, Mr. Rantzien!

I haven't found anything by clicking on

either. But I'm not too diligent about it. I demand more barrels with Potion in them.

There's no secret items, doors, passages, walls, bookcases, shelves, inter-dimensional portals, gateways to hell or temporary collapses in the space-time continuum to be found in this game. They only started introducing that nonsense in 3.

Denmark's nearly right. HOLD A, while pressing B 55 times, and a mini-game is opened. That's pretty much the only secret in the game.

Yeah, I investigated some empty treasure chests in the hope that there'd be a switch or something in there, and then realised I was probably being too over-eager.

You mean ff2. That game depended heavily on invisible doorways and hidden passages.
