#1 alright ff1 is a good game but come is it really necessary for EVERYTHING to be completely ludicrous in price??? seriously, magic being 1500 and 4000 on the 3rd town in the game??? what the hell?? am i making to much of a big deal about this or am i not along?? |

| | Depends what version you're playing. If you're playing the GBA version, black magic pretty much fades into the background late into the game. I prefer a party with a Fighter, Thief, White Mage, and Red mage. White magic is much more useful than black. Or if you're playing the NES version, magic is pretty much essential, so spend spend spend~. |

| | GBA version had better hit rates on most characters except black belt if i recall.. They really upped the thief's damage capability early on. In the GBA version, however... magic is more Fixed/smaller range and not like the NES. Fire won't vary from 10-40 with a level 1 black mage... iirc it hits for about 31-33 most of the time and it strengthens with caster stats. This makes a certain 100-400damage spell later on alot more useful on GBA than it was for me on the playstation version.... But melee is upgraded in general on the GBA, so yes I can see your point. |
