#41 I got it for my 7th birthday. I got stuck in the Marsh Cave until I was in grade 6 (kinda forgot about the game in the meantime). |

| | Played? Yes. Beat? No. Or rather, not with the NES cartridge, which was a rental. I beat the NES version on an emulator, many years after its release. I think the farthest I went with the rental was to the Temple of Fiends, and Garland beat me hard. I was only seven and didn't understand English, so I have a good excuse! |

| | Being 7 and not understanding the language of the game may be a good excuse, but it's still the first I've ever heard of someone losing to Garland. |

w00p!! somebody else who enjoyed Dragon Warrior. I played FF1 back in the 80's when I was around 8 or 9 but I didn't really understand it back then, I was more into the Batman game ![]() I never played Dragon Warrior though until last year when I bought a used NES and it came with it. In my opinion Dragon Warrior is better than FF1. I wish I could find Dragon Warrior 2 or 3 for a decent price. The NES game catalog I have access to, for which I can order the games, prices 2 and 3 at over 100 dollars each. Just not willing to dish that out for an NES game. |
