World Map in Origins?

I have the Origins version for the playstation and was wondering if there is a way to bring up an ingame world map like you could in the NES version?

IDK talk to the brooms in Matoya's cave. They should tell you.

It's the same as the NES, right? Push B and Select at the same time.

i know i'm a lil late but maybe it could help other ppl that haven't gotten there yet, but, on Origins the broom in Matoyas cave tells you... "Flipp'er over, flip flip! Elcric d'na trats!" that should tell ya if ya didn't wanna go to the cave to see it yourself just yet...
